Most of you know me as an Athlete but some of you might remember me as a Denver socialite who use to drink 5 nights a week. Yes, that is right! I use to work in the nightlife industry and party my ass off! That lifestyle choice lasted about 8 years. Luckily I woke the FUCK UP and realized what I was doing to my mind and body! Previously, I had been an athlete and wanted to feel that way again. So naturally I made some changes. I stopped drinking, staying out late and began surrounded myself with healthier humans. Thanks to my friend Dawnelle Arthur who exposed me to Yoga and Triathlon, I began competing in Triathlons. I have since been a competitive elite age grouper for 7 years. I’m not here to preach or tell you what to do with your life. I just want you to think for a moment that every-time you do drink, it’s like putting poison in your body and most of the time nothing good comes from it. I will admit, I miss those crazy days but I don’t miss how I felt or looked. I think my FB friend Aubrey Boom sums it up just right…
Drinking to much – on a single occasion or over time – can take a serious toll on your health. Here are some of the unfortunate health conditions you can get from drinking: bloating, brain damage, cardiovascular diseases, liver disease, breast cancer, nerve damage, weak immune system and cancer. What happens when you stop drinking? You’ll sleep more soundly. You’ll eat less at dinner. You’ll start to lose weight. You’ll feel better mentally and physically. You’ll save money! So, keep it moderate my friends!
